CHRISTMAS 1985 HOLD-TO-LIGHT POST CARD

Thank you for ordering one of my new post cards. This is the fourth hold-to-light (HTL) post card that I have produced. (#1 was Independence Hall, #2 was "1976" and #3 was the 1984 Christmas tree.)

This card could be the first known chrome HTL post card. In my unending effort to produce a higher quality post card, I hired a artist to draw my idea of Santa just departing from a house on Christmas Eve. I think that GAYLE POLSINELLO did a great job and hope that we can have other cards with her work.

There are 20 stars in the sky (did you notice them before holding to the light?), 19 windows in the village and the lettering and moon cuts. The card was designed to have the sky appear as snowing in the daytime and stars at night.

If these cards sell as well as hoped, I will be producing more cards on a continuing basis. (No more than two per year.) There still could be delays in mailings as Christmas approaches, but I plan on doing all mailings within 48 hours of receipt of orders. The next planned H-T-L will be the Statue of Liberty planned for late 1985 or early 1986.

Please send me your comments! I always need suggestions on how to improve the card, or ideas for new ones.

P.S. Note that each card is individually numbered on the bottom reverse of the card. The total printing is unknown but will be somewhat below 3,000.
