I did not really attempt to sell advertising post cards. I didn't feel that I had the time to work full time, fill local view racks and locate managers of businesses to solicit making custom post cards for their firm. The only exception was the Americana Inn near the Albany Airport. The manager of the gift shop asked me if I would be able to have the cards made. I said I would - and two designs were made. (The hotel has since changed its name to The Desmond.) The Clock Tower is an exterior view of part of the hotel. The cards are 4" x 6". The publisher was Dexter Press of West Nyack, NY. The card number shown is 91982-D. No centerline or distributor mentioned. 3,200 cards were delivered on June 26, 1984. |
